Staged Reading

A staged reading at the Thousand Island Film & Stage Artist Residency studio.  My recent play about the parallels between contemporary art in a museum and the women who view it.  The reading was presented in front of a small audience, followed by a Q&A.
The set was built from paper, to replicate the biennale exhibition that initially inspired this new script.

Mail Art

mail art has been a steady part of my practice for the last 2 years, including exchanges with NYC artist Steve Dalanchinsky, and participating in the annual Postcard show at A.I.R. Gallery in Brooklyn, NY.  Below is work that is part of the Post Industrial War exhibition at Walpondenakademie, in Mainz, Germany this spring.

End of Dictatorship, 6 x 4 in, mixed media, 2018

Sculpture and series in progress

NYC artist Randee Silv and I have been exchanging poems on the theme of how we talk through objects.  This is a response.
The full sculpture in motion can be seen on vimeo
Queen's Move, 6.5 x 16 x .5 in, mixed media, 2018

Drawing the Line

Drawing is one of my most active practices.  Sketch books fill my studio shelves.  Inside are impressions of places, people, a moment, storyboards, maps, charts, abstractions.  I write long hand.  Drawing is tied to memory.  Drawing is writing.

The idea surfaces.  Sometimes first the idea, sometimes through the doing.  Through the doing other ideas appear.  On the page.  In the mind.

A recent work on paper from my Anomaly series, 2018:
